Purple Heart

I don't think my little brother understands the concept of not moving while taking pictures. Lately, the majority of the pictures he takes of me are extremely blurry. I hate how much it limits my choice of pictures to use for my posts. Today, it was definitely cooler outside, which is a surprise for mid August in Florida. I decided to wear this purple sweater with black hearts printed across the chest that I bought from DDs Discounts for $3.99. I paired these tribal print shorts that were also purchased at DDs for $5.99. These shorts are really comfortable and they fit really well because the waist is elastic. They make a statement without distracting from the shirt too much. To complete the look, I wore my new favorite shoes, which are these silver Jeffrey Campbell cutout sneakers! They were a little uncomfortable when I first purchased them, but now that I've worn them for a couple of days, they've stretch to fit my feet perfectly.

Back To School

It's around that time when everyone is going back to school, so I was inspired to create an outfit that I might wear back to college. I feel like a letterman jacket is classic when you think about school. I also wore a skort that I found in the kids department at Walmart. I originally bought it about 3 sizes too big, and it took me a while to go back and exchange it. I then wore a simple black tank top and gold hologram ballet flats. I bought these flats at PLNDR for $15.99. I like how this outfit is really simple, but the colors make it stand out! The jacket is also a perfect statement piece. The whole look is extremely comfortable and is great for walking around campus.

Three's Company

One of my favorite t.v. shows is Three's Company, and when I saw this dress, it reminded me of something that Chrissy might wear. This is another item from Midnight Marauders. I think my taste in shoes corresponds with the 70s/90s the most because I love platform shoes! Show me something big and chunky, and I'll probably want them. When I saw these particular ones, I knew I needed to have them in my possession because of the clear heel. I purchased them during my recent PLNDR shopping spree, and I believe they were $26. I'm going to try to wear these heels as often as possible. The heel is really thick, which makes it easy to strut around in them, and they're just really cool looking in my opinion. I completed the look by wearing a thin headband across my forehead, and parting my hair down the middle.

Midnight Marauders

It feels like I've been away for a really long time! I got sick, became really busy with work, and a lot of it was just pure laziness. While I was away, I've made some amazing purchases, and I can't wait to share everything with you guys!

I have these awesome paper boy pants from a store called Midnight Marauders! They're an online thrift store that prioritizes bringing quality secondhand items to their customers. I'm usually really iffy about wearing thrifted items, but I actually feel comfortable in all of their clothes! They clean them thoroughly, and they arrive freshly wrapped in their own individual packages. The prices are fair, and all the measurements seem to be true to size! You can learn more about them here: http://shopmidnightmarauders.com/ .

I'm also wearing a striped top that I found at DD's Discounts for $5.99. I love this shirt because the sleeves have a peek-a-boo effect with the blue stripes being replaced by your skin. I then bought these pretty oxfords from PLNDR. They were having a back to school sale, so I had to participate. They were $20.99 and I was immediately drawn to them because of the cutouts! This outfit makes me feel like I'm channeling a rebellious woman from the 1920s because of the daring cutouts and the boyish pants.

Psychedelico Milly

It's that time of the month once again, and I've been sent a few products from Psychedelico Milly to try. I feel like the shipping gets quicker with each month!

The first products they sent out to me are these two awesome Innisfree Eco Organic nail polishes. I received Cherry blossom from the Poem Collection, which is this beautiful lavender color with pieces of red and silver glitter scattered throughout the polish. I also received 106 from the Star Sign Collection. This color is more of a glitter polish and it's full of mostly big chunks of orange glitter, with a few white, turquoise and black pieces as well. Both of these polishes are great because they are long lasting and easy to apply. Even though they mostly consist of glitter, they apply smoothly. With two coats, your nails are coated evenly. My only real complaint about these is that they smell stronger than regular polish. You can purchase your own here: http://psychedelicomilly.bigcartel.com/product/innisfree-eco-organic-nail-polish

I also received these beautiful earrings that consist of black studs that are wrapped in gold wire. I love these earrings! They remind me of an egg in a bird's nest. They're not your typical earrings, and I'm pretty sure I've never owned a pair like these before. The wire seems like it would not be that sturdy, but they actually feel as though they can withstand a bit of a beating. You can find these earring here: http://psychedelicomilly.bigcartel.com/product/wire-wrapped-round-stud-earrings

As usual, I also received a couple samples of some beauty products. These samples are a courtesy with every order you make at Psychedelico Milly. The Laneige eye gel is great and from the little bit that I have tried, it appears to have a firming effect. It also doesn't hurt that the gel texture is extremely smoothing. The Coenzyme Q10 cream is very moisturizing, and is great to use before bed.

Be sure to keep an eye on Psychedelico Milly because they update the store with new products every month! You can check out the store here: http://psychedelicomilly.bigcartel.com/

4nOne Curling Wand Review

I recently invested in a curling wand because I've heard so many good reviews about them in comparison to regular curling irons. It arrived the same day I had my hair dyed, so I set it aside to use at a later time. That later time was today, and I absolutely love my curling wand~

I purchased the wand on Amazon, for $35 and it was eligible for Prime, so that means free 2 day shipping! I chose this particular wand because it comes with four different sized heads so you can customize your curls. I also loved this model because it is tourmaline ceramic, which is the same as my flat iron, and it heats up to 430 degrees. I like that it can go to such a high temperature because my hair never wants to hold an unnatural curl.

When you open the box, it unveils the wand with a head already attached, and three other ones in holders. Underneath this is the warranty, a heat resistant glove, and instructions.

My curls are amazing! All I had to do was take little sections, and twirl them around the wand for 20 seconds, then release. I got these beautiful spiral curls that actually hold! It's been 3 hours since I've done my hair, and the curls still haven't fallen. I'm seriously impressed with this product because I have never had curls that actually last! I didn't use any products, and they came out beautifully. The only issue I have with this particular wand is that I have a difficult time switching out the heads, but it could also be because I have very little upper body strength. Other than that slight issue, I'm satisfied!

When I finally decided to curl my hair, I was inspired to take pictures with bubblegum because I've been obsessed with this song as of late: https://soundcloud.com/allureproduction/justin

Here's a few more of the photos I took:
