Happy Halloween everybody! I hope everyone enjoys a ton of candy as I've already done. Today, I went through a lot of different costumes mentally, including Holly Golightly from Breakfast At Tiffanys, Where's Waldo, and even LSP from Adventure Time. I eventually settled on being an 80s girl because I really wanted to recreate the crazy makeup that they used to wear. I like Jem And The Holograms, so I had to use the pinks and purples she wore, and I added stars to complete my makeup. One of my favorite songs from that decade is I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston. I love how innocent and young she looks in that video and how she just seemed like she was having a ton of fun! I didn't recreate the exact look, but I styled myself as I would have loved to dress in the 80s when going out to dance. I wore a white leotard and bright purple tights because that's my favorite color. Then, I added a lace a-line skirt because I always enjoy when my skirts move and flare when I spin. Then I added white slouchy socks and gold hologram ballet flats with a pointy toe! I think my look really comes together with the red jacket that I'm wearing. I found it in the back of my dad's closet, and my mom says it's his Thriller inspired jacket. It's a Marc Buchanan Pelle Pelle jacket. It's so big and oversized, yet it kind of fits the look perfeclty because it hits in all the right places. The finishing touches to my look are my deeply parted wavy hair and big pink bow headband.

Once upon a time I bought a pair of red heart shaped sunglasses, and I thought they were the most beautiful sunglasses ever. A year later, I threw them in my bag without thinking, and later opened my bag to find them completely destroyed. I was devastated. I wore those sunglasses all the time and I thought they were so quirky and cute. I had bought them at Charlotte Russe, so I knew they were really flimsy and cheaply made, but I didn't expect their life to be cut short so soon. Finally, I own another pair of heart shaped sunglasses and these ones are a million times better. They're purple (my favorite color), and I can tell that they are more durable than my last pair. These will be cherished and taken care of really well. You can find your own pair at Giant Vintage. To build off of my sunglasses, I added a graphic crop top that I found at DDs for $5.99 and these black slacks that I bought for $6.99. The funny thing about these pants is that I bought them to wear to work, but they are way too long for me at the moment. I couldn't pass up this fashionable moment before I get them hemmed, so I decided to pair them with my tallest heels to make my legs look extremely long.

This shirt was on sale at DDs for $6.49, and when I saw it, I thought back to when I was really obsessed with M-flo. In middle school, their albums were the only thing I listened to, and whenever I heard the word 'dope' I would think of their album Dope Space Nine. M-flo definitely influenced my way of thinking about the world because they were the first foreign artist that I heard. I really like how the shirt is mesh in the back and is fit like a muscle tee. I'm also wearing these cool jeans that I bought in middle school that have paneling across the front. A lot of my pants feature different paneling details. To complete the look, I put on some sunglasses from Giant Vintage and my platform sneakers.

Finally, Florida has decided to cool off a little, so I can finally start wearing all the sweaters that I bought! This sweater was bought at DDs Discounts for $6.99, but it's from Forever21. I was so happy to find this sweater at DDs because I remember seeing it on the Forever21 website for $20+, but I didn't want to spend that much. I love how it's camo and the word 'Army' is slightly faded making it appear as though it's worn. To counteract the worn in feeling, I wore a black bodycon skirt that I found at DDs for $3.99. I really like the diagonal ribbing detail on the front of the skirt. To complete the look. I added black tights, a beanie, and some boots. I'm also sporting some awesome sunglasses from Giant Vintage! Lately, I've been obsessed with Justin Bieber's Music Mondays, and All That Matters has been stuck in my head.
